We live in a fresh out of the box new neighborhood and my home was one of the first to be manufactured. Just three houses out of the 30 don't have fiber. I can just get 50mbs and my neighbors, two houses down, have gigabit. If it's not too much trouble prompt. Fiber is the technology used to deliver the service, the speed can vary. Gigabit is about the highest you can get at the consumer level today but you can also just get 100 or 300 or whatever the isp will sell you if you don’t need the extra speed.
